3-Axis CNC Milling
3-axis CNC milling moves the cutting tool in three linear directions—X (horizontal), Y (horizontal), and Z (vertical). This configuration is suitable for parts with flat faces, simple pockets, slots, and drilled holes. It is the most common and cost-effective milling configuration, widely used for general-purpose parts and less complex geometries. Work envelopes typically accommodate parts up to 2,000mm x 800mm x 600mm. Materials include metals and plastics. 3-axis milling is an efficient solution for parts that do not require compound angles or undercuts.
