Capabilities

We specialize in custom CNC machining of aluminum components, delivering parts that are engineered and manufactured to your specific design requirements. Unlike high-volume production shops that focus on standardized parts, we build each order around your unique specifications—your geometry, your tolerances, your material grade, and your finish requirements. This approach gives you full control over the final product, with no compromises on form, fit, or function.

Our custom service model starts with your design. Submit your CAD model or engineering drawing in any common format, and our team reviews it for manufacturability, identifies potential production challenges, and provides optimization suggestions—all before machining begins. We also offer reverse engineering for legacy parts where drawings are unavailable.

We work across the full production spectrum: single prototypes for design validation, pilot batches for testing and market sampling, and full-scale production runs with consistent quality. Our machine shop is equipped with 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis CNC milling centers and CNC turning centers with live tooling, allowing us to machine aluminum parts in virtually any geometry—from simple brackets to complex aerospace structural components with deep cavities and thin walls.

Material selection is flexible. We machine all standard aluminum grades including 6061-T6, 7075-T6, 2024-T3, 5052, 5083, and 6082, plus specialty alloys specified for specific applications. Material sourcing is fully documented with mill test reports and heat lot traceability.

Every custom order is backed by ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100D quality systems. Inspection includes CMM verification, full dimensional reporting, and, where required, AS9102-compliant First Article Inspection. For custom projects requiring surface finishing, we provide in-house anodizing, chem-film, powder coating, and other finishes tailored to your application.

There is no minimum order quantity and no tooling commitment. Your custom part—your design, your quantity, your timeline. That is what we deliver.

Finishes

Surface finishing enhances both appearance and functional performance of aluminum CNC parts.

Mechanical Finishes (As-Machined):

  • As-Machined (Ra 1.6-3.2μm): Standard finish, visible tool marks

  • Polished (Ra 0.2-0.8μm): High-gloss, mirror-like surface

  • Brushed (Ra 1.0-2.0μm): Uniform grain pattern in one direction

  • Bead Blasted (Ra 2.0-4.0μm): Matte, uniform satin texture

  • Sand Blasted (Ra 3.0-6.0μm): Coarser texture for industrial appearance

  • Mass Finished (Ra 0.8-1.6μm): Tumbled for deburring and edge radiusing

Chemical & Electrochemical Finishes:

  • Clear Anodizing (Type II): Protective clear oxide, maintains natural appearance

  • Black Anodizing: Durable black finish for corrosion protection and aesthetics

  • Color Anodizing (Type II): Available in blue, red, gold, green, etc.

  • Hard Anodizing (Type III): Thick, wear-resistant coating (25-50μm)

  • Chemical Conversion Coating (Alodine 1200): Conductive, anti-corrosion layer

  • Electroless Nickel Plating: Uniform coating on complex geometries

  • Electropolishing: Removes material to improve surface finish and brightness

Coating Finishes:

  • Powder Coating: Durable, decorative finish with RAL or custom colors

  • PTFE/Teflon Coating: Low friction, non-stick surface

  • Ceramic Coating: High temperature resistance and hardness

  • Epoxy Coating: Chemical and corrosion resistance

Application Recommendations:

  • Aerospace exterior: Hard anodizing or chem-film

  • Medical devices: Electropolishing or clear passivation

  • Consumer visible parts: Brushed + clear anodizing

  • High-wear components: Hard anodizing (Type III)

  • Electrical applications: Chem-film for conductivity

  • Outdoor/marine: Powder coating or e-coating

FAQs
  • What do you mean by "custom" aluminum parts?

It means we machine parts to your specific drawings and requirements—not off-the-shelf. You provide the CAD model or print, and we manufacture exactly what you need, in your choice of alloy, with your specified tolerances and finishes.
  • Do you charge extra for custom work?

No, there's no premium for "custom." Every part we make is custom. Tooling and setup costs are minimal and amortized across your order quantity—the same as any CNC machining job.
  • Can you make custom aluminum parts in small quantities?

Yes, we specialize in low-volume custom work. We routinely machine 1 to 100 units for prototypes, test equipment, and replacement parts—no minimum order required.
  • How do I submit my design for a custom part?

Upload your 3D CAD file (STEP, IGES, STL) or 2D drawing (PDF, DWG) through our quote request form. Our engineers will review it for manufacturability within 24 hours.
  • Can you make custom parts from my existing sample?

Yes, we can reverse-engineer a physical sample. We'll create a CAD model, verify dimensions against the sample, and machine a replacement part. This is common for legacy equipment parts with no available drawings.
  • How long does it take to make a custom aluminum part?

Prototypes typically ship in 3 to 5 business days. Production orders depend on quantity and complexity—usually 10 to 20 business days for full production runs.
