CNC Shop
A CNC shop is a manufacturing facility equipped with computer-controlled machining centers that produce precision components from metals and engineering plastics. CNC shops operate a range of equipment—3, 4, and 5-axis milling machines, CNC turning centers with live tooling, Swiss-type lathes, and EDM—along with secondary operations including surface finishing, welding, and assembly. The shop environment is defined by its ability to take a digital design file and deliver a finished, inspected, and documented part. Services include design review for manufacturability, material sourcing with full certification, process planning, machining, finishing, quality inspection, and logistics. Shops operate under quality management systems such as ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100D, with inspection equipment including CMMs, optical comparators, and surface testers. Industries served include aerospace, automotive, medical devices, electronics, semiconductor equipment, robotics, and industrial machinery. Part sizes range from small precision components to large structural parts up to 2,000mm x 800mm x 600mm. Tolerances are held to ±0.05mm standard, with precision work at ±0.01mm and high-precision at ±0.005mm on request. Lead times for prototypes range from 3 to 5 business days, with production orders completed in 10 to 20 business days.
